Raymond Ramos DDS

Raymond Ramos DDSDr. Ramos grew up in Southern California skateboarding and surfing. He majored in Biology at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. While in college, he worked at a dental laboratory which sparked his interest in becoming a dentist. He moved to Northern California in 1990 and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1993. On weekends, he would mountain bike in Sonoma County and knew it was where he wanted to live. He practiced as a general dentist in Sonoma County before attending the University of Maryland and receiving his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. He joined Dr. Hodges in 1999. Dr. Ramos is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He met his wife, Dr. Cheryl Willett, at the University of Maryland where they were classmates and convinced her to move to beautiful Sonoma County. They have two wonderful daughters. When he’s not at work or at one of his daughter’s activities, he rides and races mountain and road bikes and snowboards.

When asked what he likes most about being a pediatric dentist, he says “I love what I do and it doesn’t feel like work. As a dad, I appreciate the trust the parents place in me and it’s a privilege to watch their children grow up over the years. Even when the kids are old enough to graduate to an adult dentist, I still see their little face from their first visit with me when they were a toddler.”
